    SetSquare is a virtually-based consulting practice.
  • What services does SetSquare provide?
    Our primary service is virtual consultations which help people understand issues in their home workspaces, and the potential for improving their workspace.
  • Is there any eligibility criteria for accessing this service?
    Anyone can engage this service, as long as they are over 18 years of age and have a valid credit card.
  • Do you do interior design?
    Our typical service doesn’t include any specific designs, but we'll be happy to discuss your project, just reach out through our contact form or live chat on our website.
  • How do I inquire about other services?
    Just get in touch through our contact form or live chat on our website and one of our representatives will talk through it with you.
  • What does SetSquare mean?
    A set square is actually a tool for design drawing (drafting), it’s a fixed-angle transparent plastic triangle. We chose the name because it represents the process of setting something right, and of helping to bring order to an enterprise.
  • How long does the process take?
    It takes approximately an hour total: signing up takes less than 5 minutes, the welcome call is about 5 minutes, our pre-consultation questionnaire takes 5-10 minutes to complete, and the actual consultation is typically 40 minutes long.
  • What do I get at the end of this?
    You’ll receive a detailed personal report capturing everything we’ve discussed with you, and our recommendations, a summary of the consultation, a high-level budget and a guide for home workspaces.
  • In what format is the final document available?
    The consultation report is provided as a PDF document, and it’s delivered to you by email.
  • When do I get the report?
    They are typically delivered within 3-5 business days after the consultation.
  • Is this for individuals or companies?
    Both - The detailed consultation report is private, and just for the individual. Organizations or companies will also receive an overview report which describes trends and recommended approaches to implementing group-wide changes, but which doesn't share any personal details or specifics about individuals.
  • Will we be designing my workspace?
    No, the report establishes what we believe you should consider doing, but carrying out changes is not a part of the base service. You can always discuss more complex additional assistance or design work with your consultant.
  • I need more than a consultation, can you help?"
    SetSquare was born out of a full-service design practice, and we can potentially help with a variety of more complex challenges
  • Are you interior designers?
    All of our consultants come from a design background of some type, but the base SetSquare workspace consultation is not considered an interior design or architectural service.
  • Are there any legal requirements?
    Yes, please review our terms and conditions to understand the limitations and conditions the service is provided under.
  • How do I engage the service?
    Just click any of the get started links on the main page, or right here.
  • I live with other people, can I still go ahead?"
    Yes, we’ll just ask that they not be listening in during your consultation, as it is private.
  • My company sent me a link, but I lost or deleted it, what do I do?"
    No worries - just reach out to them, they’ll have the unique code on file. If they can’t find it, just reach out to us through our contact form.
  • What if my space is small?
    That’s just fine, we’ll look at whatever you’re working with, to help as much as possible.
  • Do I need to measure anything? Is there any App that I can use?
    Yes, we’ll need room measurements and some furniture details. There are apps, but we just need a few simple measurements, and a tape measure will do just fine.
  • Can I reschedule an appointment or call?
    No problem. There is a reschedule link if you click on the email you received, it’ll allow you to change the appointment time and date.
  • How do I start a meeting?
    Just click the link in the calendar appointment you received from us.
  • How do I communicate with my consultant/designer?
    Typically by email or virtual meetings.
  • Is my information private?
    Yes, no specific details connecting you to your workspace will be shared with anyone. Only generalized and aggregated information is provided to your employer. For more information, please review our privacy policy.
  • I don't want the report to go to my work email address, what can I do?"
    You’ll have an opportunity to tell us what email address to send the report to, to protect your privacy.
  • How do you use the data collected?
    We are interested in bench-marking and trends in the evolution of remote working. We will use this data to help organizations understand where they are, with regards to policy, trends, costs and planning.
  • What happens after I receive the consultation report?
    You’ll have resources to help you move forward with the recommendations, and we’ll follow up to see how you did a few weeks after the report is delivered.
  • How long will take to set up my final workspace?
    That’ll depend on what you decide to do with regard to the recommendations.
  • I have some questions about my report, what do I do?"
    Reach out to your consultant by email. They can let you know if the question is simple or if it will require an additional fee to help you with it.
  • Do you help in buying furniture and accessories?
    We can help to connect you with suppliers of some of the typical items that might be recommended, but items will be purchased directly through those organizations.
  • How much does the consultation cost?
    Each individual consultation for a specific person/workspace combination costs $300, in USD.
  • What if I have more than 1 workspace to assess?
    We are happy to help with that, but there would be an additional cost and report generated for each additional work space.
  • Do I have to pay upfront?
    Yes, all payments are collected in advance.
  • How much should I budget for further expenses after the assessment?
    It depends on the recommendations, but the report we give you will include some guidance on expected costs.
  • Do you charge sales tax on any service?
    Yes, all sales involving Canadian customers will be charged 13% HST for businesses, and whatever your provincial sales tax is for individuals.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    All major credit cards are accepted. We also accept electronic bank transfers for orders totaling over $5000.
  • Do you accept international credit cards?
    Yes, we do.
  • Can I pay with multiple Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or pre-paid gift cards?"
    No, a single card is required.
  • Where can I write a testimonial?

  • What if I am not satisfied with the service?
    Please contact us at contact@setsquare.work to let us know what you didn’t like about it, and we will review your experience if possible.
  • What is your refund policy?
    Refunds can only be processed for services that are cancelled prior to the assessment call taking place, and will be charged a $50 administrative fee per user to cover internal costs, which will be subtracted from the refund amount.)
  • Who can I talk to if I have a question, complaint or need technical support for the service?"

  • I loved the experience; how do I refer a friend?
    Your consultant can provide a referral link you can use to tell your friends about the service, just reach out to them by email.
